Atti cuteness
These prize winning photos are courtesy of Grampa Craig who was just out for a fun, quick visit with us. He had a great time with all the little boys- making some awesome shields and swords with Sam and Patch and playing some rowdy games of baseball in the backyard. He also got to spend some quiet, snuggly time with his smallest grandson. Atticus is already not Craig's youngest grandchild- Jeff's sister Megan gave birth to baby girl Rylee about three weeks ago. Congratulations to the Kurth's!

New knits
Check out Atti in his new Manly Vest. I saw this pattern on line and fell in love, It didn't take much convincing to get Grannie working on one for him right away. It is just perfect for him- a warm layer for chilly mornings that nicely wicks away any drool or spit up from his tender neck area. It buttons fully up on side and shoulder, so you don't even have to wrangle it over your baby's floppy head! Plus, just look how distinguished he is in it!
Equal opportunity drinker
I decided to give bottles a bit of a whirl this time around. We never really used them much, but I wanted to give other people a chance to feed Atti, and give myself the chance for a little freedom. Atticus was totally game! He chugged down his first bottle like an old pro and has never looked back since. Jeff or Grannie try to give him one every other day or so.
He is such a good and mellow little guy. He is full of smiles and coos these days, and does this adorable little half giggle that is sure to turn into a full blown laugh any day now. He loves his little "play gym" and happily hangs out on it, looking around and "exercising" for 20 minutes or so at a time. His only really fussy time, if you could even call it that, is in the evening before bed, but as long as I'm around to cuddle him close to the milk bar, he is content. He is regularly sleeping 7-8 hours at a stretch through the night, sometimes even a bit more. He is growing so fast- all this eating and sleeping sure bulks o boy up quick!

7 week update
Oops- I'm a few days late with this one. The days continue to slip by so quickly. Atti doesn't seem much like a newborn anymore, what with all the smiling, cooing, and general being awake he's got going on these days. He is still incredibly soft and smells so good, so I think we'll keep him around a while longer. It is amazing how aware he is, compared to just a couple of weeks ago, and how much bigger he is. I swear, if you watch him long enough, you can actually see him grow!
