Seven

Birthday season is in mid-swing around here, with our brown boy turning 7 a few days ago. My sweet, funny boy was so excited to be celebrating his special day with his family. By a major stroke of good luck Patch's birthday fell on a Saturday that Jeff happened to have off from work, so we were all together! A regular birthday miracle!

Patch's main birthday wish was to walk across the Golden Gate Bridge, so after a breakfast of pancakes and bacon and presents, we headed to San Francisco.

Our first stop was Chrissy Field, where we played in the sand, climbed on the rocks, and watched the many boats out in the bay.

After driving down Lombard St, lunch in Alamo Square Park, and a visit to a comic book store, the fog had lifted and we were ready to conquer the bridge.

We finished up the day with a sushi feast. 

Happy Birthday Patch. I couldn't love you more!!

4 (and 400*)

My baby is four years old. Does that seem impossible to anyone else?

Atti had a great birthday- breakfast out, baking with mom, a long nap in the afternoon, and then the dinner of his choosing with lots of his favorite people. And some super fun presents! A perfect day for my boy, who is just about as full of vim and vigor as one can be!

*This is my 400th mosherboy post! I know the blogging has been sparse lately, but this still feels like quite an accomplishment!!

Atti asked me to help him get the last few bites of his miso soup at dinner tonight. I told him to just pick up his bowl and drink them out. He took a big gulp. "Ah, that's good! Now I'm soupin' it up!"

Pre school

My baby started pre school today. As impossible as that sounds, it is apparently the truth! Mr. Atticus is now a school go-er. He was very proud to be getting ready for school with his big brothers this morning and happy to have his lunch packed up in his new basket. That was probably the highlight of the day for him. That, and getting picked up when it was over. That was pretty awesome too. The rest of it was…a little rocky. Some tears were shed, but he made it through the whole day and hopefully tomorrow will be easier.

1st and 5th

Ahh, first day of school pictures. Always some gems in these shots! The big boys both had good days at school and seem to be happy to be back in the routine. Atti will start preschool next week, and then I will have some mornings free! Looking forward to having some more time to spend with my new baby, the yarn store!
